Welcome

Hello and welcome to Amnesty International Canada's Myanmar blog!
I hope that this is a place where everyone can feel comfortable sharing information, posting resources, and get to know one another better through our common work on the Myanmar file.
Yours in solidarity,
Hannah

Good morning!
I have just been in touch with the University of Manitoba group, who is planning to have a day of letter writing dedicated to Myo Min Zaw. As well, they are considering hosting a taste for justice event in his name. Has anyone tried holding a hunger banquet for Myo Min Zaw?
What other initiatives does your group have on the go?

Hey Hannah and all other Myo Min Zaw Youth Advocates!
We haven't tried holding a hunger banquet for Myo Min Zaw...although it is a cool idea! I was thinking more of a dinner party, but it still needs to be discussed as a group! I be really excited to hear about any other efforts other groups have decided to do on behalf of Myo Min Zaw!!

Hello to both Rebecca and Hannah! I think the idea of a hunger banquet sounds terrific. It would certainly grab people's attention more than an actual dinner. You might also consider reproducing some of the prison conditions he is suffering -- without being too masochistic!

Let's hope your idea works out.
